Apply at www.eugene-or.gov/jobs . $22.16 - $27.61 / hourly This professional level arborist position is primarily responsible for directing and performing a wide range of skilled activities to care for and maintain trees within the City's rights-of-way and parklands. Acts as field lead worker for one or more crews of certified arborists, park specialists, and temporary staff. Activities are primarily focused on street tree pruning, removal and tree inventory work. However, work is frequently performed in developed parks and natural areas. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Experience and Training A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be: Four years of increasingly responsible experience in arboriculture, forestry, or natural area maintenance which includes experience in climbing and/or use of aerial lifts, chainsaw and chipper operation. or Any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the applicant with the knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform the job. License or Certificate International Society of Arboriculture Certified Arborist certification.
