Oregon Tree Care is seeking an experienced Climbing Arborist to join our Tree Care Services team in Portland.
DUTIES:
Responsible for climbing, pruning and removing trees on residential and commercial properties
Complete all aspects of Tree Pruning, Removal, Cabling & Bracing by working as both climber and ground crew
Pruning treetops, repairing damaged trees by trimming or removal, as well as removing broken limbs from wires, roofs, and other objects
Operate Chippers, Trucks, Bucket trucks, or special equipment
Maintain issued climbing gear, chainsaw, and shared crew equipment
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION:
Must have 1-2 years' professional tree care experience (experienced climbing arborist)
Valid Driver’s License required
Ability to satisfactorily perform Tree Climber duties
Ability to climbing trees with closed or open climbing system
Pruning to ANSI A300 standards
Operating chippers and chainsaws
Bucket truck experience preferred
Safe working experience
Customer service skills
Strong tree ID skills, installation experience of cables, bracing and lightening protection are preferred but not required
