Job Description

The Urban Arborist Inc. Seeking full time climbers.

Small owner/operator company looking for climber for crew expansion. Opportunity for seniority down the road for motivated and multi-talented individuals. Industry standard wages with room to grow based on production. Minimum 2 years climbing experience required. Must have experience as site foreman or crew lead and direct 2-3 subordinate crew.

Minimum requirements:

Valid Ontario “G” Licence

Full time availability

Minimum 2 years climbing experience

Strong team based worth-ethic

Minimum 2 years chipper operation experience

Demonstrable understanding of E. Gilman pruning methodologies

Special consideration for candidates who have experience with:

Liquid Fertilization

Air spade operation

Sprayer operation and regulation (non-chemical applications)

Stump Grinder experience (hydraulic and manual driven)

Planting and transplanting experience

Felling experience

Experience pruning Ornamental and Fruit trees

Tree and Shrub planting methods and practices

Aeration

Soil Testing

Soil Treatments

Fertilization

Spraying (non-chemical based)

Bracing/Guying/Cabling

Pruning (Preventative and Maintenance)

Ornamental and Fruit Tree pruning and training

Restorative Pruning

Hazard control and removal

Aesthetic pruning (pollarding, hedging, etc..)

Large and Small tree removals
