Responsibilities:




  • Safely climb trees using industry standard techniques.




  • Perform tree removals with precision and attention to safety.




  • Pruning and thinning the canopy of trees at various heights.




  • Installation of cables and bracing.




  • Properly operate and maintain equipment such as chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts, ropes, and more.




  • Diagnose tree health issues and recommend appropriate solutions.




Qualifications:




  • Proven experience as a tree climber in the arboriculture industry.




  • 1-2 years experience working for another tree company is preferred.




  • Strong knowledge of knots and rigging.




  • Experience operating and maintaining chainsaws, chippers and other equipment.




  • Experience hauling and backing up a trailer.




  • Ability to lift heavy logs and drag brush.




  • Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.




  • Attention to detail and safety training/procedures.




  • Knowledge of tree species, growth patterns, and pruning techniques is essential.  




  • Works well with clients to ensure customer satisfaction.




  • Certified Arborist or relevant qualification preferred.




  • Valid provincial driver’s license with clean abstract.  Driver’s Abstract must be provided upon hire.




  • Preferred background in Forestry, Horticulture or Landscaping.




  • Communicate effectively with Team Members and Management.




  • First-Aid training and D License is considered an asset.
