Job Overview
- We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Foreperson to lead our growing team of arborists.
- Wage between $37- $50 p/h with benefits, stats, vacation etc
- Minimum of 8 years experience, highly safety conscious with emphasis on correct work positioning, SOP's and ability to teach in a safe respectful manner.
- ISA Certified a must, TRAQ and fallers endorsement desired
- Must be fluent in A300 pruning standards and have a high attention to detail, understanding of Dr Ed Gilman pruning principals desired
- Highly organized and able to work effectively with a team
- Educated on municipal requirements, industry best practices, safe work practices
- Strong communicator with team and clients, both commercial and residential
- Emphasis on quality, not quantity or production, able to run a tight ship
Work tasks
- Lead crew daily on tree care sites; climbing with and without spurs using modern tree climbing techniques
- Yard organization, preparing for work tasks
- Mentorship of team mates and training
- Equipment tracking and maintenance
- Delegation of tasks
- Communicating with Clients, administration etc.
- Leading and recording safety meetings

Work Schedule (weather and workload permitting):
- Regular work schedule is Monday through Friday off Sat & Sun
- Start and end times may vary. Start time is usually 7-8AM. You must have your own reliable transportation to and from work.
- Storm damage work provides a unique opportunity, especially during the slower winter months, and may cause deviation from our regular schedule; your participation is encouraged. Minimum call out for storm work is 4hrs OT
Compensation: Highly competitive hourly compensation is based on experience and qualifications.
