Job Overview:
- We are seeking a crew lead arborist to lead and communicate with the crew as needed to ensure high levels of safety, quality, attention to detail, customer satisfaction; assist in training less experienced employees.
- Have 4+ years of verifiable experience in tree care with an emphasis on tree climbing and arboriculture.
- Wage between $30- $40 p/h with benefits, stats, vacation etc
- Perform all aspects of modern tree care (including strong tree ID skills, climbing, rigging, pruning, and felling techniques) in accordance with written job specifications, safety and industry standards, and municipal bylaw, without direct supervision. Experience with cabling, planting and pest control a plus.
- Hold ISA Certified Arborist credential.
- Willingness to pursue additional training and certification as needed. (D.A.S. will provide yearly allowance for Arb related training) Be motivated to continuously expand and improve skill set.

Work Tasks:
- Drive trucks with trailers, including daily safety inspection before and after operating.
- Operate equipment including chainsaw, chipper, stump grinder, leaf blower, etc. including periodic maintenance/repairs.
- Work safely and comply with company policies and regulations for tree care operations.
- Work safely with job hazards including but not limited to equipment and vehicle operation, drop zone awareness, loud noise, wood chipper dust, gasoline and diesel exhaust, chemicals including fuel, oil, and pesticides, electrical hazards, etc.
- Able to work on all types of terrain and regularly lift/drag/pull 50 lbs. and occasionally up to 100 lbs.; willing to stretch and utilize proper lifting techniques.
- Company will provide climbing equipment to an industry standard or better. If you have your own gear, company will replace consumables

Work Schedule (weather and workload permitting):
- Regular work schedule is Monday through Friday off Sat & Sun
- Start and end times may vary. Start time is usually 7-8AM. You must have your own reliable transportation to and from work.
- Storm damage work provides a unique opportunity, especially during the slower winter months, and may cause deviation from our regular schedule; your participation is encouraged. Minimum call out for storm work is 4hrs OT
Compensation: Highly competitive hourly compensation is based on experience and qualifications.
