General Summary:  Directly responsible to produce Tree Care sales revenue, while providing the ultimate experience to all prospects, clients, teammates and affiliates. Will drive sales revenue and production execution and efficiencies in commercial, residential, and new construction for all Arboricultural Services including but not limited to: Tree Pruning, Tree Removals, Stump Grinding, Plant Health Care, Tree Fertilization, Insect and Disease Notification, Arborist Evaluations, Landscape and Tree Lighting, Tree Cabling, Tree Protection, Christmas Lights, Air spading, Girdling Roots, Root Pruning/Cutting and more.

Positions reporting to this person:  None

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Sales Revenue for all Tree Care Offerings
  • Self-Generated and Referral Sales for Tree Care
  • Maintain Gross Margin Expectations (65% Minimum)
  • Internal and External Communications and Scheduling
  • Schedule and coordinate sub-contractor work within scopes as needed
  • Assists with production management to ensure client satisfaction
  • Manage field-based personnel in accordance with the team’s progress to the goal
  • Works directly with Southern Botanical’s internal departments including Commercial, North Branch, Residential and Construction and Corporate teams to ensure timely, efficient, high quality service to all internal associates, supporting staff, and clientele.
  • Performs other incidental and related duties as required.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Educational Requirements:  ISA Certified Arborist or Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Construction/Management/Horticulture or other industry related field of study (preferred), or Associate’s degree in the same with minimum of 1 year experience in managing landscape services or 5 years of experience in construction/remodeling/landscaping services.

 

Required Certification/Licensure:

Valid state driver’s license.   Preferred: TNLA Texas Certified Landscape Professional/Associate; NALP Landscape Industry Certified Manager; experience in the field. 

 

 

 

Special Skills Required:

Knowledge of plants; familiarity with tools and equipment used during installs, including but not limited to:  chainsaws, chippers, ladders, climbing ropes, compressors, irrigation systems, lifts, etc.; Proficient with most Microsoft Office applications, including but not limited to:  Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Able to read and assess statistical and operational reports; Good interpersonal, team building, organizational and management skills; Able to provide clear and concise communication and perform duties under pressure of short deadlines.

 

 

Physical Demands:

Must be able to lift/carry materials up to 50lbs, move about the work site, communicate efficiently and effectively on the telephone or in person, and complete required paperwork.  Exposure to dust, pollen, chemicals, cold and heat in an external environment.  Requires extended periods of walking, standing, kneeling, bending and lifting up-to 30% of the day.  Travel to the field averages 30% of the time at work.

Working Conditions:                      

Include external environment dealing with all weather and terrain exposure. Safety equipment includes gloves, earplugs and safety glasses.
