Axe & Wedge Tree Works is seeking experienced candidates who are dependable, motivated, willing to learn, and who possess strong interpersonal skills and qualities. Candidates must have a passion for outdoor work, and be prepared to work outside year round in all weather conditions.  Prior experience in the tree care or forestry industry, as well as a DZ Drivers Licence, is required.   As an employee of Axe & Wedge Tree Works, a  General Technician  will be expected to coordinate and execute / or assist in the removal, trimming, or pruning of trees and will assist climbers or aerial operators from the ground utilizing industry standard practices. A ground technician will report directly to the site supervisor and company management, and will work in all stages of tree removal and health care maintenance including but not limited to; job site and equipment set-up, tree material processing and hauling, and all job site clean-up tasks and responsibilities. ISA or 444a Arborist Certification, or equivalent, preferred.   As an employee of Axe & Wedge Tree Works, a  Climbing Arborist  will be expected to coordinate and execute / or assist in the removal, trimming, or pruning of trees by means of safe felling or climbing techniques, or by use of a variety of aerial lift equipment.
