Applicants must be in top physical condition as this job requires a lot of physical agility and be adventurous as this is a thrilling but dangerous profession. Job Requirements: Valid Driver's License, CDL a plus Chainsaw, wood chipper and rigging experience Arborist certification would be a plus Certified for Utility Line Work a major plus Knowledge of horticulture methods, practices and materials Knowledge of landscaping, maintenance of trees and woody plants Experience as Arborist Climber Knowledge of climbing practices, safety techniques, use of gear to remove and prune trees Duties Include (but, are not limited to): Removal of trees using climbing skills, or felling from ground Has climbing equipment in good working order Uses safety practices in all areas of the job Pruning trees and/or woody plants Knowledge of knots and rigging techniques Good hearing for safety communications with ground man The removal of any dead, diseased or declining trees and/or other woody plants Chipping debris and yard clean-up Load and stack firewood Raking of chip or debris Must be able to lift at least 150 lbs. Other assigned tasks This position would be part time to full time depending on the week and the season. We are full time from March through December. This position is perfect for someone who has a flexible schedule. This position is year round, more hours in the summer and more time for you to play in the winter! Day to day work includes mostly residential removals and felling, tree pruning, fine pruning, chipping and some hedge work. Feeding the chipper and raking yard debris. This position may transition into Utility Line Certified Arborist position, any utility line arborist experience is a major plus. Pay is based on experience, raises and bonuses are based on experience and performance. Starting Pay is $25.00/hour after first week of working interview. During working interview all pay is $20.00/hour. Working interview to last no longer than 5 days or 40 hours whichever comes first. Please be prepared to show us a work history and referrals.
